State park at the south end of Gasparilla Island beside the historic lighthouse, with beach and shoreline fishing along the Gulf and the edge of world-famous Boca Grande Pass, one of Florida's deepest natural passes. Snook, pompano, mackerel, ladyfish and sharks from the sand; tarpon roll the pass in season. Parking: five beach parking areas along the park.
